Hi, in my setup, I avoid using sudo for my main user account. Instead, I elevate to root when I need to install something, which feels safer for my use case. However, I’ve found that ame doesn’t work when run as root or with a user that lacks sudo permissions. On other distributions, root privileges are invoked if the current user doesn’t have sudo enabled.

Would it be possible to make ame work directly with root, or provide an alternative method for users without sudo access?
