Ideas for robotic* things I want to make

(I will split this out into seperate files at some point)

Lake House

I think it would be awesome to build a system of robots that I can operate over the winter, almost like an outer-space exploration type of task. My initial thoughts are:

1. Deployable boat for fall after house is closed, before the freeze, and spring water exploration before house opens
2. Deployable rover for while the lake is frozen over
3. Some kind of quadcopter system, that can charge via solar and ideally also by contact-pads on it's landing spot. The main challenge with this will be finding (or building?) some kind of autonomous flying control system, like how Ingenuity did (since latency via LTE would make real time control a total disaster).

Autonomous Rover

It would be super cool to make a rover with some kind of self driving, that charges via solar, and send it, to, say, cross the entire USA. Similar to the the quadcopter, it would presumably need to support occasional manual tasking, but again, actual hands-on-the-wheel control will be impossible once it's beyond real time RC range. (Which presumably would be most of the mission)
